Interview/audition prep & advice

    • Start the process EARLY! Reach out to a college’s performing arts department or office of admission to get info about audition dates, portfolio requirements, etc.
    • Go on campus tours (in-person or virtual)
    • Attend audition workshops a year in advance to get an idea of what to expect.
FAQs and Questions to ask
    • Doing your own research to see if what students are making/creating are on par with what you want to do. Are you one of a few or are you one of many?
    • Consider shadowing or sitting in on classes, talk directly with professors, attend performances and/or rehearsals.
    • Look at where a college’s graduates are going. What does their career/internship placement look like?
    • Declaring a minor in the arts is a great option for some, as well.
