At Bishop Feehan High School, we’re thrilled to celebrate an extraordinary achievement by one of our own. Congratulations to Tia LaBrecque ’27 on being selected to attend the U.S. Women’s Deaf National Team training camp in Fukushima, Japan, from November 8-19, 2024!
Tia will join 17 other elite athletes in Japan, where they will train and hone their skills with hopes of representing the U.S. at next year’s Deaf Olympics in Tokyo. This prestigious opportunity doesn’t end there; success in Tokyo could open the door to the Deaf World Cup, showcasing the top deaf athletes from around the globe.
"We are very proud of Tia and her success on the Bishop Feehan soccer field and her latest achievement in being selected to the U.S. Women's Deaf National Team," said Bishop Feehan Athletic Director Christian Schatz. "Tia could not be a better example for our community and our athletes—a student who, through her hard work, has overcome challenges to excel at the sport she loves. Hopefully the Feehan Family will be able to cheer her on as she represents Team USA in the Deaf World Cup!"
